Attorney Ronald Spriggs of Amarillo; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Ronald T. Spriggs with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law.

The District 13th Grievance Committee found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to appear at trial on client’s behalf
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of her civil case
  • Failed to notify client of court-ordered mediation
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to advise client of trial date set by court

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license.

As speak (ca. January 2019), Ronnie practices with The Spriggs Law Office at 1011 South Jackson Street in Amarillo, Texas.
