Attorney Steven Thayer of Vancouver, WA; greedy loser

The state of Washington presented Steven Whitman Thayer with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Puget Sound School of Law.

The Washington State Bar found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Charged and/or collected unreasonable fee (cheater)
• Engaged in conflict of interest
• Entered into prohibited business transaction with client
• Failed to give client opportunity to seek advice of independent counsel
• Terms of modification of fee agreement were't fair and reasonable because the client had already paid $15,000 for pre-trial services under the existing fee agreement and the modification was proposed close to trial, when Stevie absolutely knew the added expense of retaining new counsel would have discouraged the client from doing so

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Stevie practices at 112 West 11^th Street in Vancouver, Washington.
