DA Paul E. Zellerbach of Riverside, CA; lifetime porker, Dufus, repeat offender

The Supreme Court of California presented Paul Zellerbach with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from California Western School of Law in San Diego.

After receiving his law license, Paulie spent the next 22-years working for the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office. In 2000, Paulie succeeded in duping the voters in Riverside County into electing him as a Superior Court Judge and reelecting him in 2007. In November 2011, Paulie was elected as Riverside County District Attorney.

Put simply, Paulie has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for nearly 34 years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the Riverside area was about to offer Paulie a good paying job.

During his insignificant tenure on the bench, Paul was charged with misconduct by the California Judicial Commission with using his judicial title to advance his own personal interests by allowing his title to be used to raise money to retire his debt from a campaign for a non-judicial office. He was also found guilty of making harsh remarks to a person appearing before him (repeat performance of 2003 misconduct.)

In 2006, Paulie was found guilty of misconduct for attending a baseball game while a jury was deliberating in a murder case he presided over. When he was told the jury had reached a verdict, he refused to allow another judge to take the verdict and did not return from the game to do it himself.

The Commission ruled that this was a serious derelict ion of duty and punished Paulie by gifting him with an admonition.

In 2003 the Commission found Paulie guilty for making harsh comments to a doctor who was late to court, and threatening to hold him in contempt.

The enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary advisory letter.

As punishment for his most recent misconduct (ca. 2010) the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission gifted Paulie with yet another admonishment.

It’s difficult to understand how a certified Loser like Paulie can repeatedly dupe the voters in Riverside County. Apparently, they aren’t concerned in having someone of Paulie’s ilk sitting on the bench or acting as the District Attorney.
