Attorney  Scott Rubinchik of Plantation, FL; idiot, repeat offender

 

The state of Florida presented Scott David Rubinchik with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

 

The Florida State Bar found Scotty guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Scotty’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to appear for child support hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Lied to client that child support hearing had been rescheduled when it had not
  • Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
  • Failure to attend child support hearing resulted in an adverse ruling being made against his client by the trial court
  • Failed to provide copies of documents to client
  • Failed to file negotiated child support modification with the court
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to advise client about any relevant limitation on his conduct
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

 

Scotty’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to promptly inform client of decisions re: the representation
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to respond to client information requests
  • Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
