Attorney Chong Kim of Hackensack, NJ; repeat offender

 

The state of New Jersey  presented Chong S. Kim with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from Temple University School of Law.

 

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Chong guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Chong’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain client funds in separate trust account
  • Failed to maintain attorney business account
  • Engaged in various recordkeeping violations

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Chong by gifting her  with a complimentary admonition.

 

Chong’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Entered into prohibited business transaction with a client
  • Engaged in various recordkeeping violations
  • Made false or misleading communications about her services
  • Used a firm name, letterhead that violated the professional rules
  • Failed to indicate jurisdictional limitations on her license

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Chong by gifting her  with a complimentary 3-month suspension of her law license.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Chong practices in Hackensack, New Jersey.
