Attorney Jeffery Krain of Mt. Laurel, NJ; convicted tax cheat, repeat offender

The state of New Jersey  presented Jeffery L. Krain with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Loyola University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

Jeff’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Misconduct stemmed from Jeff’s appearance in Philadelphia courts in 339 cases after his law license had been placed on inactive status
• Plead guilty to sixteen counts of state tax law violations regarding a Philadelphia restaurant he owned

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him  with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Jeff’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Illegally sharing fees with nonlawyer
• Assisted nonlawyer in illegal practice of law
• Compensated individual for recommending his services
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him  with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Jeff practices at 300 Atrium Way in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.
