Attorney John McLoughlin Jr. of Belmar, NJ; convicted druggie

The state of New Jersey  presented John Mc Loughlin Jr. with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Arrested for possession of cocaine
  • As police approached his car Johnny swallowed some of the cocaine
  • Officer observed Johnny’s companion drop vial with remaining cocaine as she existed his car
  • Johnny admitted that he committed a criminal act adversely that reflected on the honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects
  • After his arrest, Johnny admitted he purchased cocaine for her personal consumption

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly, it should be noted that Johnny's law license was not reinstated until November 2010 even though his suspension was effective March 2004. Put simply, it took over six (6) years before Johnny could persuade the New Jersey Supreme Court that he was fit to regain his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Johnny practices at 902 Main Street in Belmar, New Jersey.
