Attorney Sally Peck of Iowa City; ethical goblin

The state of Iowa provided Sally Heckman Peck with a law license in 1982 after she graduated from Indiana University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Iowa Supreme Court found Sally guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with local court customs in a divorce matter
  • Allowed for a default judgment v client re: past due child support
  • Failed to advise opposing counsel of refusal to comply with local court rules

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Sally by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Sally practices with the Peck Law Office at 105 Iowa Avenue in Iowa City, Iowa.
