Attorney Jane Shortell of Brooklyn, NY; serial deadbeat

The state of Connecticut provided Jane Shortell with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from the University of Maine School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jane’s law license was suspended on eight (8) separate occasions for her failure to pay an annual fee amounting to a measly $75 to the Client Security Fund, which was set up to reimburse clients who were cheated by their attorneys.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jane by gifting her with eight (8) suspensions of her law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2018), Jane practices with the Legal Aid Society at 111 Livingston Street in Brooklyn, New York.
