Attorney G. Russell Stewart III of North Stonington, CT; slacker

The state of Connecticut provided G. Russell Stewart III with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Bridgeport University School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

In addition to the misconduct set forth below, Russ’s law license was suspended for his failure to pay an annual fee amounting to a measly $75 to the Client Security Fund, which was set up to reimburse clients who were cheated by their attorneys.

  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Russ practices at 9 Billings Lake Road in North Stonington, Connecticut.
