Attorney Stephen Mackinnon of East Hartford, CT; ethical gremlin

The state of Connecticut provided Stephen James Mackinnon with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to affirmatively respond to repeated requests by client’s new attorney to turn over the client’s file
• Failed to respond to ethics complaint (Screw you, said Stevie!)
• Made improper contact with former client after being advised she was being represented by another attorney

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Stevie by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Stevie practices in in East Hartford, Connecticut.
