Attorney William Rivera of New Britain, CT; slacker, loser

The state of Connecticut provided William C. Rivera with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

In addition to the misconduct set forth below, Billy’s law license was suspended two (2) times for his failure to pay an annual fee amounting to a measly $75 to the Client Security Fund, which was set up to reimburse clients who were cheated by their attorneys.

  • Failed to protect client’s interests by not leaving him with sufficient time to retain new counsel
  • Waited almost four months before he notified client he would not pursue his claim
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Billy by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2018), Billy practices with The Rivera Law Group LLC at 17 Walnut Street in New Britain, Connecticut.
