Attorney Scott Roberts of Groton, CT; greedy loser

The state of Connecticut provided Scott N. Roberts with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Scotty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Fee limited by Federal Longshore Workers' Compensation (FLWC) rules/laws
  • Overbilled his client in the amount of $8,750
  • Only fee allowed must be approved by FLWC administrative judge
  • Not lawfully entitled to claimed addition fee in excess of FLWC rules

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Scotty by gifting him a complimentary reprimand and ordered to reimburse his client in the amount of $8,750.

As we speak (ca. August 2018), Scotty practices with the Law Office of Scott Roberts LLC at 349 Mitchell Street in Groton, Connecticut.
