Attorney J.T. Harris of Memphis; cheater, repeat offender

The state of Tennessee provided J.T. Harris with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Memphis Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found J.T. guilty of the following misconduct.

Harris’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Entered into a fee agreement to charge a fee in a medical  malpractice case in excess of that allowed by Tennessee Code Annotated (cheater)
  • Failed to communicate with client regarding progress/status and status of client's case
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished J.T. by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Harris’ 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In one matter, J.T. improperly solicited professional employment, in person, from a potential client with whom he had no family or prior professional relations.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished J.T. by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. March 2019) J.T. practices at 44 North Second Street in Memphis, Tennessee.
