Attorney Samuel Sperling of Baltimore, MD; ethical troll

The state of Maryland presented Samuel Sperling with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to review statements and reconcile his firm’s attorney trust account, which was subsequently overdrawn
• Failed to adequately supervise his brother, Johnathan D. Sperling, an attorney that was suspended from the practice of law but was hired by the firm as a paralegal and continued to write checks on the firm’s trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2019) Sammy practices with The Sperling Firm LLC at 8 Church Lane in Baltimore, Maryland.
