Solicitor Elizabeth Dingwall of Scotland; ethical goblin

The Law Society presented Elizabeth Anne Dingwall with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Glasgow School of Law.

The Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal found Liz guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • While acting under a continuing welfare power of attorney on 16 occasions made cash withdrawals amounting to a total of £8350 from two back accounts held on behalf of her client using Automated Telling Machines and at a branch office
  • Repeatedly failed to make and keep contemporaneous records of the transactions in the firms accounting records
  • Failed to credit cash withdrawals fully and promptly in the firms client account and her only
  • Made several cash deposits in the firms client account leaving a shortfall that she could not account for

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Liz by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2018), Liz practices with DHW Legal at 119 Cowgate in Kirkintilloch, Scotland.
