Attorney Michael Kellum of Johnson City, TN; cheater, repeat offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided Michael D. Kellum with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the Cumberland School of Law. 

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Mikey’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Posed a substantial threat of irreparable harm to the public
  • Failed to respond to ethics complaints filed against him (Screw you, said Mikey!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary temporary suspension of his law license.

 

Mikey’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Accepted fees from clients and then neglected to their legal matters
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Accepted unearned fees (cheater)
  • Failed to terminate representation when required to so act
  • Ordered to pay $15,936 to 5 former clients he cheated

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 33-month suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. November 2018) Mikey practices at 908 Chase Drive in Johnson City, Tennessee.
