Attorney Ben Hooten of Hot Springs, AR; lying fraudster

The state of Arkansas presented Ben Hooten with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Bankruptcy judge denied discharge of $120 debt due to Benny’s false statements and filing of false schedules
  • Made false statements in meeting of creditors in personal bankruptcy case
  • Lied in responding to questions put forth to him by bankruptcy trustee
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Benny practices with the Hooten Law Firm in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
