Attorney Michael Ignes of Philippines; scofflaw

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Michael A. Ignes with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Integrated Bar of the Philippines found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated rules on engagement of private counsel by government agency
Rule mandated private counsel be employed only in exceptional cases
  • Failed to obtain written concurrence prior to accepting private government employment
  • Appeared as counsel with authority to so act

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2018), Mikey practices in Surallah, South Cotabato, Philippines.
