Attorney James Grissom of McAllen, TX; serial offender

The state of Texas presented James P. Grissom with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Michigan State University Law School.

The District 12 Grievance Committee found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to hold clients funds in a trust account separate from his own property
  • Failed to keep disputed funds in a trust account
  • Knowingly disobeyed an order by a tribunal (Screw you, said Jimmy!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Jimmy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (1) complimentary stayed suspensions of his law license and two (1) complimentary reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2018), Jimmy will resume practicing in June 2018 when his license is reinstated at 1111 West Nolana Avenue in McAllen, Texas.
