Attorney John Heckel of Cedar Rapids, IA; ethical dwarf

The state of Iowa presented John M. Heckel with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to promptly remit funds owing to clients and/or third parties
• Failed to maintain interest bearing client trust account
• Failed to be designate principle escrow account as “trust account” 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. November 2018) Johnny practices at 5250 North Park Place NE in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
