DA Andrew Ganz of San Francisco; ethical troll

The state of California presented Andrew Michael Ganz with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from George Mason University Law School.

The State Bar Courthas been charged with engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place while Andy was employed by the Solano County District Attorney’s Office.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

In one matter, Andy led the prosecution of Michael Daniels, who was accused of killing his girlfriend, Jessica Brastow, in a Vallejo hotel room in 2012. A jury acquitted Daniels of murder in 2014. (Sudhin Thanawala)

A Solano County pathologist gave Andy "detailed and specific information and reasons" during a meeting about why their theory of the manner of death was unsubstantiated and she would not list the death as a homicide. Andy had a sworn duty to disclose that information to Brastow’s attorney, but did not, and allowed the pathologist to falsely testify during a preliminary hearing that she had not met with prosecutors.

Because Attorney Misfits and District Attorneys in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Andy has not been charged with subornation of perjury, a felony.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Andy by the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Andy continues to be employed as the San Francisco County District Attorney at 850 Bryant Street in San Francisco, California.
