Attorney Robert Mance III of DC; Dumbo, slacker

The DC Bar presented Robert W. Mance III with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from George Washington University Law School.

The DC Bar Counsel found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide client with writing stating the rate or basis of fee
• Represented a client at a time when his professional judgment may have been affected by his own interest
• Engaged in improper business transaction with client
• Failed to timely surrender client’s papers upon termination
• Failed to provide zealous representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Bobby practices at 1050 17^th Street NW in Washington DC.
