Attorney Jon Plourde of Lewiston, ME; deceitful slacker

The state of Florida presented Jon P. Plourde with a law license in 2011 after he graduated from the University of Maine Law School.

The Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Jon guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to act with candor toward tribunal
• Failed to act fairly towards opposing party and counsel
• Failed to advise client of court-imposed sanctions
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Intentionally ignored judge’s discovery orders
• Intentionally failed to inform client of important matters
• Injury to client was significant

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2018), Jon practices at 3 Harmony Lane in Lewiston, Maine.
