State Sen. Tony Mendoza (D-CA): Today’s Public Official Misfit

In November 2014, Tony succeeded in duping the voters in the southeastern part of Los Angeles County into electing him as a member of the California State Senate.

First and foremost, it should be noted that Tony has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the pubic trough for the past twenty-three years after graduating from college with a degree in political science and public administration.

An independent investigation of Tony by lawyers hired by the State Senate found that it was “more likely than not” that he engaged in the following misconduct.

• Offered 19-year-old intern alcohol in a hotel suite during Democratic Party event
• Suggested a woman in a Senate fellowship take a vacation with him and rent a room in his house
• Asked several women invasive questions about their dating lives
• Suggested sexual contact when dealing with the government employees

During the investigation, the Senate voted to suspend Tony. All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Tony by his fellow Senators. At worst, he’ll likely receive a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2018), it is rumored that Tony is employed as a greeter at a local Walmart Store.
