Attorney Eric Chaves of Beverly Hills, CA; convicted drunk

The state of California presented Eric Joseph Chaves with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

The California State Bar Court found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

• Charged with driving under the influence (DUI)
• Charged with fleeing scene of an accident
• Charged with driving with blood alcohol level of .02% or more
• Subsequently pled guilty to driving with blood alcohol level of .08%

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of him law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Eric.
