Former Judge Casey Moreland of Nashville; serial felon

The state of Tennessee presented Casey Moreland with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the Nashville Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct found Judge Moreland guilty of the following misconduct.

It should be noted that this isn’t Casey’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand from the members of the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

In this instance, a 25-count indictment in federal court has charged Casey for erasing court and traffic fines in exchange for sex with at least two women.

The indictment states that Casey went to great lengths to conceal his sexual misconduct. He faces criminal charges of obstruction of justice, witness tampering, theft from a federally funded program, embezzlement and destruction of justice.

Furthermore, Prosecutors allege that Casey was skimming money from the Davidson County Drug Treatment Court program, which is designed to provide an alternative to jail for defendants with substance abuse problems. Moreland, who presided over the program, allegedly pocketed money from defendants who had to pay between $500 and $750 to join the program.

All that remains now is to see how long it takes for Casey to cop a plea to lessen the time he must spend in prison.

Hopefully, the sentencing judge will order that Casey be assigned to Cell No. 88 at Leavenworth where he’ll be roomed up with Clarice (real name Clarence) who is rumored to be one of the friendliest inmates in the joint.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Casey has been denied bail and remains in jail until his criminal trial begins in June 2018.
