Attorney Byron Cornelius of Palm Springs, CA; ignoramus, loser

The state of California presented Byron Grant Cornelius with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the Thomas Jefferson Law School in San Diego, which is a 4th tier school dedicated to serving losers that couldn’t get accepted into mainstream schools like UCLA, USC or Stanford.

The California State Bar Court found Byron guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
• Misconduct significantly harmed client
• Intentionally, recklessly, or repeatedly failed to perform legal services competently (Ignoramus)
• Failed to file case management statement on behalf of client
• Failed to appear at trial setting conference on client’s behalf
• Failed to respond to numerous client calls
• Failed to comply with repeated client information requests
• Failed to timely release client file after being terminated
• Failed to advise Bar Court he was sanctioned $1,500 by trial court
• Failed to pay court-ordered $1,500 sanction (Screw you, said Byron!)
• Effectively abandoned his clients
• Failed to respond to 16 written client status inquiries

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Byron by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Byron.
