Attorney Richard Barbera of Medina, OH; check bouncing loser

The state of Ohio presented Richard Barbera with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Akron Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Dick guilty of the following conduct.

  • Failed to maintain separate client trust account records
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to perform monthly client trust account reconciliations
  • Failed to maintain all bank statements/cancelled checks re: client trust accounts
  • Wrote one or more checks on insufficient funds account (rubber)
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Dick!)
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Dick.

As we speak (ca. (March 2018), Dick practices in Medina, Ohio.
