Attorney Leah McCray of Lima, OH; Dumbo, slacker

The state of Ohio presented Leah Traci McCray with a law license in 2012 after she graduated from Ohio Northern University Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Leah guilty of the following conduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to appear at court scheduled hearing on client’s behalf
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to promptly render accounting of client funds to client
• Failed to advice client she was withdrawing her representation
• Failed to turn over client papers to client upon termination
• Failed to properly withdraw from client’s divorce action
• Failed to appear for rescheduled adoption hearing on client’s behalf
• Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination
• Failed to promptly refund unearned fee

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Leah by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.
