Attorney Thomas Mason of Ashland, OH; convict, ethical elf

The state of Ohio presented Thomas Locke Mason with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from The Ohio State University Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Tommy guilty of the following conduct.

  • Charged with stalking, third degree misdemeanor
  • Charged with possession of criminal tools, third degree misdemeanor
  • Charged with intimidation of a witness, first degree misdemeanor
  • Charged with obstructing justice, fourth degree misdemeanor
  • Charged with falsification, first degree misdemeanor
  • Engaged in sexual activity for hire on three occasions
  • Subsequently pled guilty to soliciting, third degree misdemeanor
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Solicited and/or engaged in sexual activity with a client
  • Dishonest or selfish motive
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Victim of misconduct was vulnerable

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Tommy.

As we speak (ca. (June 2018), Tommy practices in Ashland, Ohio.
