Attorney Joseph Trenk of Van Nuys, CA; repeater, moron, loser

 
Joseph Trenk was presented with a law license by the California Supreme Court in 1981.
 
Since receiving his license Joey has been disciplined five (5) times. He was suspended on four occasions and received a complimentary reproval.
 
Joey was found guilty of the following misconduct by the California Bar Court:
  1. Refused to cooperate with Bar Court investigators
  2. Failure to perform competently (moron)
  3. Failed to obey court orders on at least 8 occasions
  4. Practicing law while suspended (felony in California)
  5. Refused to return files to clients
  6. Improperly withdrew from a client’s case
  7. Failed to pay restitution to a client as previously ordered
  8. Knowingly violated the law
  9. Repeatedly failed to communicate with his clients
For his 5th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree, the enablers for attorney misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Joey the Loser by gifting him with a 30-day suspension.
 
The comedians sitting on the Bar Court also ordered that Joe the Loser must attend ethics school and take a course in law practice management.
 
In mitigation the same comics awarded Joey credit in mitigation because of his father’s two bypass surgeries.
 
Is it any wonder that the general public has no confidence that Attorney Misfits will actually be punished for their misconduct? This is only further proof that Attorney Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct then we are.
 
To be fair as is my wont, I suppose Joey shouldn’t be denied an opportunity to earn a dishonest living by practicing law, right?
