The Panel A of the Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Failed to advise conflicting clients to obtain independent legal advice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Dick’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Failed to fully disclose to client repercussions of various loans made to client
• Failed to obtain written consent from client re: conflict of interest
• Failed to advise purchasers of client property of his close financial relationship with the seller who was his client
• Failed to withdraw from representation when required to do so
• Failed to disclose that client had perpetrated a fraud

• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Directly or indirectly violated, circumvented, or subverted any provisions of the Maine Bar Rules

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary warning.
