The Panel B of the Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Engaged in egregious conflict of interest
• Improperly handled client trust funds
• Lacked proper adherence to Rule of Civil Procedure and Court Protocol

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth the comedians sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Chris.

• Failed to obtain written consent from client re: conflict of interest

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Mishandled client’s legal matters
• Client’s repeatedly unable to effectuate contacting Chris
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Delayed at least 2 months in returning client file to clients after discharge
