Attorney Christopher Musmanno of Denville, NJ; convicted liar

The state of New York presented Christopher L. Musmanno with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Seton Hall University Law School.

The 1st Department Disciplinary Board found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Chris was stopped by New Brunswick police officer for making improper left turn
  • To avoid a summons, he lied to the office that he was employed by the Union County Prosecutor's Office
  • Later admitted to officer that his employment statement was false
  • Initially charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and obstruction of justice
  • Subsequently pled guilty to disorderly conduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Knowingly made false statement of a material fact
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Department Disciplinary Board punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Chris practices with Einhorn Harris Ascher Barbarito & Frost at 165 East Main Street in Denville, New Jersey.
