Attorney Michael Marley of New York City; thieving loser

The state of New York presented Michael Lewis Marley with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Fordham University Law School.

The 1st Department Disciplinary Board found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to promptly deliver bail refund to client (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Misappropriated (stole) money belonging to client by depositing bail refund money into his business account without notifying the client of his receipt of the funds and retaining and spending the bail refund money
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Deposited bail refund check into his business account without notice to the complainant
  • Failed to promptly notify the complainant that he had received the bail refund in which respondent knew his client had an interest

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Department Disciplinary Board punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Mikey practices at 150 West 100th Street in New York, New York.
