Attorney Jonathan McCollum of Cary, NC; convicted of forgery

The state of North Carolina presented Jonathan Alexander McCollum with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Forged two documents purporting to be judicial orders
  • Made misrepresentations (lied) to client about forged documents
  • Initially made false statements to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Johnny!)
  • Criminally convicted of common law forgery

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Johnny gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018) Johnny practices at 225 Valley River Avenue in Murphy, North Carolina.
