Judge C. Darren Tallman of Parkersburg, WV; slacker, repeat offender

The state of West Virginia presented C. Darren Tallman with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from West Virginia University Law School.

It should be noted that Darren has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past twenty-nine (29) years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Parkersburg area wasn’t about to offer Darren a good paying job.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Darren guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place before Darren ascended to the bench.

Darren’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Darren!)
• Failed to adequately communicate with clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Darren by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

Darren’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to advise client of scheduled deposition
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Darren by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
