Attorney Michael Anderson of Lake Mills, WI; ethical troll

The state of Wisconsin provided Michael J. Anderson with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly communicate with client
• Failed to take actions to advance client interests
• Failed to provide client with copy of opposing counsel’s motion to compel discovery
• Failed to provide client with copy of court order stating her case would be dismissed if discovery requests were not complied with
• Gross negligence in failing to respond to motion to compel discovery led to client’s case being dismissed by the trial court
• Entered into stipulation regarding taxable costs w/o client consent/knowledge

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. February 2018), Mike practices with the Law Offices of Michael J. Anderson LLC at 277 Oakbrook Drive in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
