Judge Robert Diaz of Ft. Lauderdale; ethical troll, lifetime porker

The state of Florida presented Robert Fabian Diaz with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.

It should be noted that Bobby has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the past thirty-four years. Apparently, no self-respecting law firm in the greater Fort Lauderdale area was about to offer Bobby a good paying job.

In 1992, former Gov. Lawton Chiles was duped into appointing Bobby as a Circuit Court judge. Bobby didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the Fort Lauderdale area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in entirely inappropriate conduct
• Failed to comply with the law
• Failed to main and enforce high standards of conduct
• Failed to observe expected standards of integrity
• Exhibited total disrespect for the law
• Falsely accused another judge of being biased against Latinos

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand, a 14-day suspension from the bench and a $15,000 fine, and a complete and public apology to Judge Lee Seidman and the President of the Hispanic Bar Association of Broward County.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Bobby continues to sit as a 11^th Judicial Circuit Civil Court judge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
