Attorney Douglas Rankin of Brooklyn; ethical dwarf

The state of New York presented Douglas G. Rankin with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from St. John’s University Law School.

In one matter, Justice Suzanne Mondo in Brooklyn stated that Doug knowingly and intentionally ignored a court directive to appear for the beginning of a client’s trial, despite having been warned that he would be fined if he was late.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Court warned Doug if he so acted in the future she would impose a monetary sanction and report his conduct to the appropriate ethics committee.
