Attorney Richard Smith of Alberta, CAN; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Alberta presented Richard D. Smith with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Alberta Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to follow client’s instructions by executing Matrimonial Property Judgement without the client’s consent
• Failed to bring marital matter before court pursuant to client instructions

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
