Attorney Theodore Schwartzberg of Calgary, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of Alberta presented Theodore Schwartzberg with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the University of Alberta Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Teddy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Knowingly engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Failed to provide buyer with transaction documents including the Statement of Adjustments and Trust Reconciliation
• Failed to register Mortgage Lender’s mortgage with Land Titles in timely manner
• Failed to properly supervise office staff

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society punished Teddy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
