Attorney John Fletcher of Calgary, CAN; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Alberta presented John E. Fletcher with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Alberta Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Unknowingly engaged in conduct enabling client to achieve improper purpose
• Failed to conscientiously serve his clients
• Failed to conscientiously serve mortgage lender and purchasers
• Failed to act to standard of a careful and prudent lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and costs of $12,083.
