Attorney Benjamin Alvarez of Coral Gables, FL; slacker, repeater

The state of Florida provided Benjamin Raul Alvarez with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Florida Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.

Benny’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to communicate with clients
• Failed to decline and/or terminate representation when required to do so
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide useful services on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Benny’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to deposit $10,000 client check into his trust account
• Failed to respond to numerous judicial inquiries re: $10,000 client check
• Withdrew from client case following fee dispute with the client
• Failed to advise client his lawsuit had been dismissed

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2018), Benny practices with Alvarez Carbonell Cooke Feltman & Da Silva at 75 Valencia Avenue in Coral Gables, Florida.
