Judge John Keast of Sault Ste. Marie, Canada; ethical ogre

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented John Keast with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from York University Law School.

The Supreme Judicial Council of Pakistan is investigating Justice Naqvi for engaging in the following misconduct.

Former Ontario Attorney General David Young was duped into appointing Johnny as a as a judge on the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie in 2001. Johnny didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the Sault Ste. Marie area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Ontario Judicial Council has found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Acted in a manner contrary to impartiality, integrity and independence of the judiciary
• Engaged in improper communications with a party about confidential information about a matter
• Engaged in conduct perceived as an attempt to influence the actions taken in judicial proceedings that may incur in said matter
• Used a personal acquaintance to improperly gain access to confidential information
• Failed to meet high standard of conduct expected of judges
• Attempted to cover up improper conduct in obtaining confidential information
• Engaged in conduct aimed at influencing a legal proceeding
• Provided legal advice to his acquaintance about a pending dispute, in which he absolutely knew the other party involved could or would appear before him in his judicial role regarding said dispute

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Johnny by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Council.
