Attorney Christopher Risler of Clayton, MO; ethical leprechaun

The state of Missouri presented Christopher T. Risler with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from St. Louis University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to deposit unearned fees in trust account
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds
  • Failed to safeguard client property
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to cooperate with disciplinary agency (Up Yours, said Chris!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on Disciplinary Counsel didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Chris.

As we speak (ca. January 2018), Chris practices with the Risler Law Firm at 7800 Forsyth Blvd in Clayton, Missouri.
