Attorney Clyde Bennet II of Cincinnati, OH; lying loser

The state of Ohio presented Clyde Bennett II with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Dayton Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel found Clyde guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to advise client he missed deadline for filing client’s appeal
  • Failed to deposit client’s advance retainer in trust account
  • Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to tribunal
  • Failed to advise client of possibility of partial refund of retainer
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Clyde by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2017), Clyde practices at 119 East Court Street in Cincinnati, Ohio.
