The state of Texas presented W. Thomas Finley with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Baylor Texas Law School.

The District 7 Grievance Committee found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license. 

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mikey.
