The state of Texas presented Bryan Lee Simmons with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from South Texas University Law School.

The District 1 Grievance Committee found Dale guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bryan by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 9-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bryan.
